Radiant Futures Conference - final registrations!

Dear colleagues and friends,

The Spiral Research Center is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. We are organizing an international conference on October 9 and 10 at Val Benoît (Liège city center) on the theme of "Radiant Futures."

This theme rejects the notion that contemporary and future challenges can be reduced to a simple choice between optimism and pessimism. It invites us to reflect on troubled technological, ecological, and political futures. How can we find the right nuance to describe the deeply rooted ambivalences that characterize our complex present and will shape our future?

In an attempt to answer this question, we expect to welcome over 70 international scientists and several keynote speakers: Kristin Asdal(University of Oslo), Hannah Landecker (University of California, Los Angeles), and Brice Laurent (CSI-École des Mines de Paris/ANSES). There will be four sessions held in parallel: Radiant Economies, Radiant Natures, Radiant Institutions, and Making & Doing (formats other than traditional presentations). There will also be innovative encounters between the arts and sciences.

Please consult the program for these two days of conferences via the following link. The book of abstracts is attached. Registration is still open, but don't delay as it will close on October 1st!

Best wishes,

Kim, on behalf of the Spiral Research Center
