[STS-CH Conference 2025 @Zurich] Call for Panels

Dear Colleagues,

We are thrilled to announce that the Call for Panels for the upcoming STS-CH Conference 2025 is now open! The conference titled “Holding Things Together? Change, Continuity, Critique” will take place from September 10–12, 2025 in Zurich. This event is organized under the auspices of the STS-CH Association and is a joint effort by the University of Zurich (UZH), ETH Zurich (ETH), and the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK). We are also excited to announce Brit Ross Winthereik and Hannah Rogers as our keynote speakers.

We warmly invite you to submit your panel proposals (250 words) by January 30, 2025 via this link .

Suggested Panel Formats

Panels can take a variety of forms and run for 90 minutes, including but not limited to:

  • Open panelswith paper presentations followed by discussion
  • Roundtable discussionsfor dynamic exchanges among scholars
  • Workshopsdesigned for collaborative exploration of specific ideas or methods
  • Experimental formatsthat creatively engage participants (e.g., interactive sessions, performances, or installations)
  • Closed panels, where panelists are pre-selected to foster focused discussion on a specific topic

These are /suggested /formats, and we encourage you to think creatively about the structure of your panel to best address the conference theme. If you have an idea for another format but you are unsure whether this would be a good fit, pls. reach out to us .
