Transcription and translation from and into German

(Apologies for cross-posting. As with all posts, the following information will only be relevant to some readers. In their interest, please allow it to be shared).

Your Expert Help for Academic Texts in German

I would like to inform listmembers that I offer professional assistance in researching, accessing, indexing, transcribing and translating German scientific texts in the humanities and social sciences, including those in Gothic or Fraktur script.

Please consider my services for your translations from English into German and vice versa. My translation of a book from American English to German was nationally acclaimed and has seen several editions.

Specifically, I identify and contextualize German-language texts for you. I transcribe old German Sütterlin handwritten texts or convert papers and entire books from Fraktur script using font-specific OCR.

As an internationally published historian of science, I am ideally qualified for these tasks and can draw on my own publication, which documents 500 years of theoretical history in the arts and humanities. My knowledge of German philology and the Greek and Roman classics broadens the range of publications that I can translate for you.

I am happy to take on larger projects, but I am also available for smaller tasks.

Reasonable prices and fast turnaround times are guaranteed.

Please keep this note for future reference or pass the information on to colleagues or publishers who might benefit from it. Thank you
