Call for Contributions: Alexander von Humboldt Conference - Berlin August 2019
EXTENDED CALL FOR CONTRIBUTIONS:

Dear colleagues,
on the occasion of Alexander von Humboldt’s 250^th birthday and in light
of his groundbreaking KOSMOS lectures in 1827, Humboldt-Universität zu
Berlin is staging the KOSMOS Conference in Berlin from 28^th -30^th
August 2019.
The Geography Department and IRI THESys of Humboldt-Universität zu
Berlin invite scientists to contribute to the conference and to share
their research on the sustainability transformation in the 21^st
Century. Contributions are welcome from all fields of research, and not
limited to the six principal strands provided below:
Publics and ethics of sustainability
Democracy, governance, and societal conflicts in a globalized world
Economies beyond unlimited growth
The land and the ocean - from the global to the local
Urban and rural: a necessary partnership
Water and biosphere: preconditions of survival
We welcome all kind of scientific contributions to the /expert forums/
(oral
presentation), the related /poster session/
(poster
presentation of scientific work), or the /bar camp & market place/

We kindly invite you to submit your contribution as an abstract (max.
250 words) and register for the conference online at
