Dear colleagues,
We are thrilled to announce an open PhD position application funded by the
COFUND-Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions. This initiative is aimed at
fostering advanced research within the Science and Technology Studies (STS)
field, focusing on participative mental health care strategies through the
project "Mindful Collaboration: Shaping Care Strategies through Mental
Health User Involvement".
This innovative project is a collaborative endeavor co-directed by the
"Barcelona Science and Technology Studies Group" working from STS
perspectives, and the "Person-Environment Interaction in Risk and
Resilience for Mental Health" from the field of clinical psychology. The
project will be developed mainly in Barcelona but includes mobility funding.
In selecting candidates for this position, we will value the following
skills:
- Ability to integrate insights from psychology, sociology, healthcare,
and user experience design.
- Interest in Public Participation.
- Strong Communication Skills (Knowledge of Spanish will be valued).
- Ethical Awareness.
- Commitment to Continuous Learning.
- Experience in conducting groups and/or clinical interviews and/or
ecological momentary assessments will be valued.
- Knowledge and/or experience in the field of mental health will be
valued.
Successful candidates will join a multidisciplinary team using an STS
perspective. Participatory methods will be used to redefine practices and
solutions developed in the field, based on embodied knowledge, and in
cooperation with users and activists. From this starting point, the project
will be defined together with the selected person.
