Application deadline for MA Science and Technology Studies @Uni Frankfurt / 15 June 2018
Dear colleagues,
we are once again accepting applications for the Master’s program
“Science and Technology Studies. Economies, Governance, Life” at Goethe
University in Frankfurt a. M., Germany, for the winter term 18/19.
Applications are possible until 15 June 2018.
The Master’s program “Science and Technology Studies: Economies,
Governance, Life” is an English-language program taught by cultural
anthropologists, human geographers and sociologists. It offers students
three areas of specialization: firstly, global economies, with their
cross-border flows of capital goods and ideas that integrate populations
and spaces into new transnationalframeworks; secondly the emergence of
new forms of governance that increasingly rely on technological
standards, surveillance technologies and data infrastructures, and
thirdly the capacity of biomedicaltechnologies to produce new forms of
life that destabilize the boundaries between nature and culture.
