Job alert: Post-doc on trustworthy AI and motivation at School of Psychology, University of Reading w/ Oxford Internet Institute - Deadline October 24

                Dear all,



A great 30-month post-doc position just opened in the School of Psychology =
at Reading for a post-doc working with Reading and the Oxford Internet Inst=
itute, University of Oxford on motivation, trustworthy decision-making, and=
 AI. The work primarily involves psychology using a variety of methods (inc=
luding both experimental and qualitative).



The candidate will be based at Reading and work with Prof. Netta Weinstein, but will also col=
laborate with a project team in philosophy, law, and computer science via t=
he Governance of Emerging Technologies research programme at the Oxford Intern=
et Institute, University of Oxford. This post wi=
ll complement the project team at Oxford, Dr Brent Mittelstadt, Professor Sa=
ndra Wachter, and Dr Chris Russell, and their work on technical aspects of in=
terpretability, transparency, and fairness in machine learning and AI.



The postdoc will be supported in leading research and subsequent publicatio=
ns, and working directly with industry partners. An interest in reproducibl=
e research methods is highly encouraged.
