CfA Navigating the Grey: Assemblage Thinking and Digital Artifacts at the STS Italia Conference

Dear colleagues,

are you exploring the conceptual connections between digital artifacts and assemblage thinking?

we are excited to invite you to submit to our panel for the upcoming STS Italia Conference, taking place from 11-13 June 2025 in Milan.

For our panel, we welcome participants to share their empirical cases, approaches, and theoretical reflections on the conceptual toolbox of assemblage thinking. The panel aims to create a temporary space for collective exploration, discussion, and critique of the limits and potential of assemblage thinking in studying digital artifacts. Together, we hope to develop an evolving knowledge base for approaching digital artifacts through the lens of assemblages.

We are also delighted to announce that Prof. Silvia Gherardi, one of the key contributors to the assemblage literature, will join us as a keynote speaker.
