🚨 Call for Submissions 🚨

We invite you to submit to our panel at STS Hub 2025:

"Towards Multispecies Justice in the City: Critical Diffraction of Urban Environments"

📅 Dates:11-14 March 2025 📍 Location: Humboldt University, Berlin

As cities become central to environmental challenges, how do human and non-human collectives coexist in urban spaces? How do the challenges of the Anthropocene manifest locally in cities, and how can diffraction help us rethink urban life-worlds?

This panel, convened by Erik Aarden (University of Klagenfurt) and Pouya Sepehr (HU Berlin), explores these critical questions through the lens of multispecies interactions and environmental justice in urban context.

🔍 We invite contributions engaging with:

  • Urbanization as a multispecies life-world

  • Multispecies interactions and environmental justice

  • Diffraction as a tool for exploring urban entanglements

See https://sts-hub.de/25/ for a full abstract.

📅 Submission Deadline: 31 October 2024 📧 Contact: erik.aarden@aau.at pouya.sepehr@hu-berlin.de

Panel chairs will notify accepted participants by 15 November 2024.

Let’s reimagine how we live together in cities! 🌿🌍
