18th Congress of the International Society of Ethnobiology

Dear All,

With apologies for cross-posting, please see if the call for papers below is of interest to you or the people in your network.

Come to the 18th Congress of the International Society of Ethnobiology (in Morocco in May 2024) and join our panel on "Multispecies assemblages in times of climate change-induced (eco)systemic transformations: An interdisciplinary discussion on how ticks, fleas, mosquitoes, and other vectors of human and animal diseases restructure the world"!

This panel will discuss research that centres ticks, mosquitoes, fleas, and similar (human and animal disease) vectors, and explores how multispecies entanglements with these actors respond, react, shape, and transform cultural practices of human and more-than-human migration, rural and urban land use, and the management of natural-cultural disease transmission dynamics.

The call for papers will close on 4 February 2024. You can find the long abstract of this panel, as well as instructions for abstract submission, here: https://www.isecongress2024.org/selected-sessions

We hope to see you there! Deborah Nadal (deborah.nadal@unive.it) and Ritti Soncco (ritti.soncco@cesie.org)
