Post-doc opportunity at the Global Sustainability Institute

Dear colleagues - I hope the below Post-doctoral Research Fellow job
opportunity is of interest.
We believe it to be a fairly unique opportunity because it is a three-year
research fellowship post (with possibilities for extensions) to push one's own
research portfolio, rather than e.g. work on someone else's project. We also
explicitly welcome part-time (e.g. one-day/week upwards) and/or flexible
working applications.
Best, Chris

More about the Global Sustainability Institute (GSI):
Over the past nine years, the GSI has built a global reputation for delivering
research impact and high-quality interdisciplinary publications across a broad
range of sustainability issues. We believe it is the only research
institute/group to have received funding from six of the seven UK Research
Councils (ESRC, EPSRC, NERC, AHRC, BBSRC, STFC). It has led and supported
several high-profile EU projects including SHAPE
ENERGY,
Energy-SHIFTS, MEDEAS,
RRING, Energy in Water,
amongst others, and also been part of major centres such as the ESRC's Centre
for Understanding Sustainable Prosperity and EPSRC's
EnergyREV. The GSI has a particular interest in
research that has the potential for real-world impact, and thus has a wide
portfolio of applied projects that focus on working with e.g. European
Commission, UK Government, local authorities, charities and NGOs, business and
industry, etc.

More about the post:
The post-holder will bring with them research plans for writing high-quality
publications and project proposals, as well as for collaborating with both
external colleagues and those already based at the GSI. The GSI prides itself
on supporting individuals and communities to develop their skills to
contribute positively to sustainability outcomes. Therefore, we are open and
flexible to exploring new ideas from whichever discipline they come.

Contact information:
More information is available via the GSI's Director -
aled.jones@anglia.ac.uk - although all those
at the GSI are happy to answer informal queries too.
