I am excited to share a Call for Papers for a Special Issue of Social Sciences titled:



Health-AI—The Daily Practice of Human-AI Collaborations in Healthcare


This Special Issue invites contributions that explore the intersection of artificial intelligence and healthcare, focusing on the practicalities and implications of human-AI collaborations in daily healthcare practices. The scope includes, but is not limited to:

  *   Ethnographic studies of AI-driven diagnostic or therapeutic technologies;
  *   Unexpected outcomes of AI usage on the ground, observed in clinics;
  *   Empirical evidence of how healthcare professionals collaborate with AI, and/or how AI impacts their decision making;
  *   Valuation practises and ethics of data-driven health interventions;
  *   Reconfigurations of expertise and organizational negotiations;
  *   Algorithmic concepts of normality and abnormality.


The deadline for manuscript submissions is 10 September 2025.
