Job advertisement: Research Fellow in Biomedicine, Self and Society

                Dear colleagues,

I’m writing to highlight a postdoc position with Sarah Chan and I at the Edinburgh Centre for Biomedicine, Self and Society. The post-holder will work with us to design and deliver a qualitative research project that explores changing understandings of bodies in relation to biomedicine and emerging biotechnologies. They will also contribute more broadly to the work of the Centre. The position will be for 24 months, with a negotiable start-date:

The new Wellcome Trust-supported Centre for Biomedicine, Self and Society brings together a range of scholars from across the University of Edinburgh working in the social sciences and medical humanities. By autumn, the Centre will comprise 19 members of academic staff, with several PhD students and dedicated administrative and public engagement support.

Sarah and I would of course very much welcome discussion about the job with any interested candidates.

Thank you very much!

All best wishes

Martyn
