3rd Conference on Participatory Design
OPEN CALL "Research Dialogues" Forum
Spatial Justice in the Era of Climate Crisis
Geographies and communities of Greece, the Balkans, and the Mediterranean
The Mediterranean is currently facing a multilevel crisis: the impacts of climate change, social inequalities, and the lack of spatial justice feed into each other, making the search for just ways of urban and environmental transformation imperative.
This year, the 3rd Conference on Participatory Design organized by Participatory LAB, invites researchers, urban and regional planners, architects, geographers, artists, and activists from Greece, the Balkans, and the wider Mediterranean to a collective and critical exploration of how spatial justice can act as a lever for social and environmental transformations in such a context of multiple crises.
The โResearch Dialoguesโ Forum serves as a public platform for presenting research and participatory design practices through creative transdisciplinary dialogue. With a focus on the spatial aspect of this yearโs theme, the open call introduces a second category for design proposals, which will be showcased in an exhibition in a dedicated space at the Agricultural University of Athens.
