6-year fulltime PostDoc position at University of Graz, Austria
+++ apologies for cross-posting +++ Dear colleagues, We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher with a strong background in participatory research and sociodigital innovation to support the creation of the Graz Studio for Participatory Sociodigital Futures (GraSP Futures). This is a six-year fulltime position that will contribute to the research, teaching and outreach activities of the "Digital Societies" research group in the Department of Sociology at the University of Graz. The focus of the research group is on algorithmic systems in the public sector, education and for ageing populations. It intersects critical data & algorithm studies, participatory (design) research and feminist STS (Science and Technology Studies). The teaching responsibilities of the research group cover courses in Sociology and Computational Social Systems (joint degree with the TU Graz). This is an ideal position for postdoctoral researchers who which to work as part of an interdisciplinary team, further develop their international profile and co-create societal impact. The application deadline is 20th of August 2025 and ideally candidates will start in October/November 2025. Salary is 69.000 € per year.
