A small group of us are organising a symposium to celebrate the work of
Professor Catherine Will who sadly died in August 2024. Catherine was a
brilliant STS scholar who was involved in EASST and 4S networks, conferences
and publications, as well as other STS networks over her career.
We are early in the planning stages but the symposium will examine various
themes that Catherine explored- often at the intersection of STS and medical
sociology, bringing in people in the field to host sessions, with early career
researchers being encouraged to attend and present short papers on related
work which can then be discussed.
We know that people in the STS community will want to come so are sending out
a Save the date despite the early stage we are at with the planning. More
information will be made available as planning gets further underway.
Please note: we are exploring funding- especially to support ECRs to attend-
and will share news on this as we know more.
