6 new positions at U Manchester on AI governance, digital trust, security and society
Some of you may have noticed that the University of Manchester is currently advertising 6 tenure-track (L/SL) positions as part of a major investment around the area of AI governance, digital trust, security and society. However you may not have noticed that these positions can be held in any department/school in social sciences and humanities.
Here at the Manchester Institute Of Innovation Research we work on technology policy, the dynamics and geography of innovation, and the governance of emerging technologies including AI. Current projects address AI in science, in manufacturing, knowledge-based services, sustainability, health, regional innovation, and policy analysis, and we are actively engaged in research and policy debates about responsible AI, inclusion, ethics and cybersecurity.
This is a great opportunity for anyone working on aspects of AI governance/policy and innovation who would like to join a large and long-established interdisciplinary group working on innovation and technology policy but at the same time be part of a new cross-Faculty investment. The link below is to the recruitment page - when applying, please indicate MIOIR/Innovation, Strategy, and Sustainability subject group and Alliance Manchester Business School as your preferred department.
And please do share with any potential candidates!
