TODAY: Engaging Social Futures | Online Event |

Engaging Social Futures
Today from 15:30-17:00. Online Zoom Event. Everyone’s welcome!

With unprecedented levels of inequality, ecological devastation, urban transformations, pandemic emergencies, and dangerous political polarisation across the world, social futures have never been more contested. How do sociologists understand and critically engage with futures through research and teaching? How might we study and engage probable and possible futures in thoughtful and inventive ways today? What creative practices, methods and concepts can we mobilise? What can we learn from each other?
If you’re thinking about postgraduate study with us, or are already a current student, please come and take part in a discussion about framing and shaping futures with the MA and MSc course convenors.
To come and explore how the future is looking with us, please contact Clare Lewis: sociology.masters@gold.ac.uk
Please arrive from 3pm onwards for a 3.30pm start.

All our current MA and MSc convenors will be speaking: Kiran Grewal, Paul Halliday, Nirmal Puwar, Alex Rhys-Taylor, Martin Savransky, Paul Stoneman and Nina Wakeford. There will be plenty of time for discussion.
