Each session will include three individual <br>presentations and time for questions from the audience. <br> <br>· Extended abstract: Submissions should utilize the Abstract <br>Template. Papers submitted in this category may represent original <br>empirical research, theoretical development, reviews, or critiques. The <br>word limit for oral paper abstracts is 500 words. <br> <br> <br> <br>*Research Posters * <br> <br> <br>Our 90-minute poster session provides an interactive forum for authors to <br>discuss their work. <br> <br>· Submissions may represent original empirical research, theoretical <br>development, or reviews. <br> <br>· Poster submissions should use the Abstract Template format -- note <br>that the word limit for posters is 200 words. <br> <br>· All individual submissions will be considered for poster <br>presentation if not accepted for their original submission type. <br> <br> <br> <br>*Panel Presentation* <br> <br> <br>Panel presentations provide authors the option to organize a panel <br>comprising three related <br>presentations. <br> <br>· Panel presentation sessions will be 90 minutes long, with 45 <br>minutes for the presentation and 45 minutes for discussion. <br> <br>· A panel presentation abstract should use the Abstract Template <br>format and must include an abstract summarizing the overall theme of the <br>panel, as well as individual abstracts for each presentation included in <br>the panel. The combined word limit for these abstracts is 1000 words. <br> <br>· Panel presentation abstracts that bring together experts for <br>interactive discussion should describe questions that will be addressed by <br>the panel, list any underlying issues to be discussed, and include bios for <br>each of the panelists. <br> <br> <br> <br> <br> <br>*Workshops* <br> <br>The SciTS Program Committee invites submissions from individuals or groups <br>to conduct Special Interest Workshops and Seminars. Workshops and seminars <br>will be 3 hours in length. All topics relevant to the application of <br>Science of Team Science approaches are welcomed, specifically with respect <br>to training sessions that will equip SciTS investigators with tools and <br>technical skills for data collection, analysis, or presentation in their <br>research areas. Workshop or seminar proposals that incorporate a variety of <br>instructional approaches (e.g., lecture, interactive discussion, hands-on <br>exercises) and materials (e.g., slides, handouts, sample data) are strongly <br>encouraged. We encourage workshops or seminars with a focus on <br>methodologies including systems approaches to the field of SciTS as well as <br>methodologies for conducting evaluation and understanding team dynamics. <br>Furthermore, we welcome workshops and seminars that provide practical <br>guidance for conducting and managing team science in a variety of contexts <br>and settings, and workshops with a focus on developing team science <br>educational and training resources. <br> <br> <br> <br>Proposals should be limited to *1000 words *(not including biographical <br>sketches) and include the following information: <br> <br>· Proposed title and organizers (names, affiliations, email; identify <br>one primary contact person) <br> <br>· Description of workshop: objectives (at least 3), goals, and <br>expected outcomes <br> <br>· Statement regarding how the workshop can benefit SciTS attendees <br> <br>· Description of target audience and estimated number of participants <br>(minimum and maximum) <br> <br>· Proposed workshop format, activities, and schedule <br> <br>· Any special A/V needs <br> <br>· Short biographical sketch for each presenter, describing relevant <br>experience and qualifications (not included in page limit) <br> <br> <br> <br>*ADDITIONAL SUBMISSION NOTES:* <br> <br>The selection committee reserves the right to propose alternative <br>presentation formats. <br> <br> <br> <br>*PROGRAM CO-CHAIRS:* <br> <br>Deborah DiazGranados, PhD, Virginia Commonwealth University, <br>*diazgranados@vcu.edu <br>* <br> <br>Stephanie E.
