Call for Papers: TIME/LESS - Sensing, Planning, Designing in Complex Cities and Regions (AESOP TG Planning & Complexity)

Dear Colleagues and fellow Students,

We hereby invite all of you to contribute to the upcoming 22nd meeting of our thematic group at RWTH Aachen University (Germany) from 28-29 November 2024.

Complex socio-spatial systems continuously evolve and transform over time in ways that are sometimes predictable, and others spontaneous; sometimes slow, and others fast. Planners are at the frontline of this change, and yet, how well do they understand or leverage wisdom about time?

We invite scholars with interdisciplinary backgrounds to delve into innovative analytical, design, and planning methods that can empower planners, policymakers, and designers to better understand and use time in addressing contemporary urban challenges and opportunities across various scales.

Further information and submission:

Please also note that registration for the AESOP Annual Congress in Paris is open (see https://aesop-planning.eu/paris [2]). It includes activities from our thematic group, including an evening session with the title of our Aachen meeting - so watch out for it and join 😉
