Dear colleagues,
Happy New Year!
The Marine Science and Technology Studies group was
formed in summer of 2022 with the hope to create an inspiring exchange among
Marine STS scholars and research communities and the Konsortium Deutsche
Meeresforschung (KDM), but is open to all scholars interested in Marine Social
Sciences and the Blue Humanities. Since then, we have discussed our own
projects and papers within the group every semester. We furthermore invited
STS scholars such as Stefan Helmreich or Casper Bruun Jensen and natural
scientists to discuss their contemporary work on marine realms.

Next week, on January 8th, Tanja Bogusz will present a Zukunftsforum Ozean /
InTraOcean thesis paper jointly written ttogether with marine natural scientists
and discuss Marine STS and Marine Social Sciences and Humanities:
