Matjaz Vidmar and Saskia Vermeylen

Dr Matjaz Vidmar is Lecturer in Engineering Management at the University of Edinburgh. His research is examining new product development, intermediation, innovation networks, entrepreneurship and futures design. He is working in particular with the satellite and space data industry and artificial intelligence. He lectures and mentors students on Management, Technology Entrepreneurship, History and Sociology of Innovation and Futures Design in Systems Engineering. He is also involved in many international initiatives to develop the future of these fields, including several start-up companies and an extensive public engagement programme on STEM and arts, and futures literacy.|Dr Saskia Vermeylen is a Reader in Law at the University of Strathclyde. Her research combines law, continental philosophy, and arts and humanities. Her thematic focus is on property which she explores in four distinctive areas: cultural property and legal anthropology, ethics (Levinas) and property, property frontiers and space law, and nature and environmental humanities. She is currently preparing a monograph on art and space law based on her recent Leverhulme Fellowship on Utopian literatures and space law. Saskia is also an experienced curator, and in her curatorial practice she experiments with immersive and decolonial legal performances.
