Kostas Latoufis is an electrical and electronic engineer, currently a PhD candidate in the Fluids Division of the National Technical University of Athens. His research interests include off-grid renewable energy systems, locally manufactured small wind turbines, rural electrification development projects and science, technology and society (STS) studies. He has co-founded the Rural Electrification Research Group (RurERG) of the NTUA and the School of the Earth Nea Guinea and he is a member of the executive board of the Wind Empowerment association.
