Klara Benda obtained her PhD in Human-Centered Computing from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2014. She also holds an MA in Sociology from the Eötvös Loránd University in Hungary. Her research has looked at professional knowledge and communities in computing and software, and their connections with the forms of software on the web. She was a Fellow at the ISES center of University of Pannonia in the summer of 2015. In 2015-2016 she was doing research on digital data practices as a postdoc at the IT University of Copenhagen.
