Artemis Papadaki-Anastasopoulou was born in Athens, Greece and she is currently a PhD candidate at the Science and Technology Studies Department at the University of Vienna. She did a BA in Molecular Biology & Genetics, an MSc in Neuroscience and an MA in STS. Her PhD research is focused on EU policies on plastics with a focus on the Single-Use plastics Directive and its implementation in Greece. She is interested in materials and how they become the center of political debates and in policy practices including how local issues relate to EU policies from a south-east European perspective. She also loves the sea and her vegetable garden.
