Sophia Rossmann is a PhD candidate at the Munich Center for Technology in Society, TU Munich. Trained as a sociologist working in the field of Science and Technology Studies, her research interest centres upon environmental epigenetics and how this biomedical approach is adopted and adapted in environmental toxicology. Currently, she is interested in how epigenetic research on toxicants reconfigures the notion of toxicity as procedural and relational, particularly focusing on the placenta as an emerging epistemic object in the field.
