The 2024 EASST Council elections took place from 29 October to 20 November 2024, with 19 candidates running for positions on the Council, and one presidential candidate.
1540 ballots were emailed to EASST members. Members could cast one vote for a presidential candidate, and up to seven votes for council member candidates. Of the seven, we asked members to cast at least one vote for an ECR candidate and one for a student candidate. Members could abstain from voting for the president, as well cast fewer than seven votes for the other candidates. 1382 members (80%) voted in the election: 539 people used all their votes, 843 used some of their votes.
Meet the seven new and returning Council members who received the highest votes below, as well as EASST’s next president.
