Subject: CFPosters: ICT4S, Toronto, May 14-18, 2017

The ICT4S conferences bring together leading researchers, industry actors
and policy makers concerned with the role of Information and Communication
Technologies (ICT) in promoting sustainability. The theme of the 2018
conference is “Thriving Communities”, raising questions such as: How can
the transformative power of ICT be utilized in order to put our society on
the path to sustainability? How can this potential be embraced at all
levels and scales, from individuals to communities, from public sector to
all industry sectors, from business goals to social aspirations and
environmental objectives? And how can ICT become a vessel for bringing
people together to build thriving, resilient communities?

The poster track at ICT4S 2018 looks to catalyse the multidisciplinary
nature of sustainability and foster a thriving community from a diverse set
of contributors. We invite submissions of high-quality extended abstracts
for posters. Posters may present late-breaking research or work in
progress, and poster abstracts may include the following formats of work:
empirical study, designs, discussions, pictorials. Posters present a
valuable opportunity to attract interest and give a rapid overview of what
your research is all about. At the conference, the work described in the
extended abstract will be presented as a poster, ideally in interactive
discussion with the audience. We especially welcome posters that engage
with the social, cultural, or political aspects of sustainability.

Submission material should include: An extended abstract (max 200 words)
that provides an overview of the content that is expected to be presented
in the poster. We also encourage authors to describe (with up to 2
additional pages) the interaction potential of the poster and provide a
brief explanation of how an engaging participant experience will be
achieved so that we can help tailor the poster session towards a truly
interactive and memorable experience.
