MAYS Methods Workshops - Call for Conveners

Dear colleagues,

We are announcing a call for convenors to join our Methods Workshops series, that will lead up to the Annual MAYS Conference in August, in Warsaw (CfP here ). If you are interested in running a workshop with us, teaching anything, from autoethnography to social network analysis, consider joining our initiative.

Why call for workshop convenors? On the one hand, the pandemic proved to be a challenge to ethnographers across the world, on the other, however, it made it easier to share ideas, substantially lowering costs of participation as well as event organization. With our series, we want to use this opportunity and offer methodological workshops teaching various research skills, available online and for free.

We invite workshop proposals of any topic and form. Your workshop can be open or closed, structured or unstructured, requiring or not requiring readings or submissions. We encourage convenors to choose formats that facilitate discussion, collaboration, and fellowship such as, for example, discussions, debates, presentations, trainings, forums, or writing workshops. You can find details on those types, as well as further organizational guidelines here

.

To apply to convene a workshop go here . Deadline: March 31st, 2021. Notification of acceptance by April 5th, 2021.

Best wishes, Magdalena and Anthony MAYS Coordinators
