The School of Sociology and Social Policy (SSP) is a vibrant, diverse and
exciting centre for social science teaching and research. We are a
multidisciplinary unit covering criminology, public policy, social policy,
social work and sociology. Cutting across these disciplinary boundaries are
two shared values: the promotion of global and social justice and a desire
in our teaching and research to make a difference.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to make a significant
contribution to the teaching of programmes of study at undergraduate and
postgraduate level in the Sociology of Science, Technology and Innovation,
including responsible research and innovation, digital governance,
environmental policy, international science policy and other broader
sociological modules. The role holder will contribute to teaching and
supervision for these programmes as required, which is likely to include the
delivery of lectures, seminars and workshops as well as blended or online
teaching. In addition, the role holder will contribute to the development of
new teaching programmes, teaching methods and assessment in Sociology of
Science, Technology and Innovation and will also be expected to play an
active part in the School more generally, for example by taking on an
administrative role in relation to teaching.

wishing to work part-time to 0.8FTE, 29hours per week). Please indicate on
