PhD position on Responsible Innovation and smart energy grids in Europe and beyond - CALL for APPLICATIONS

I am happy to invite applications for a PhD project on Responsible Innovation and smart energy grids in Europe and beyond .
This fully funded PhD position is part of the Horizon 2020 project “Muse Grids”. The Muse Grids project aims to reduce the energy carbon footprint by building smart and green energy grids for local communities.
The PhD candidate will focus four inter-connected topics:
Responsible Innovation, concentrating on issues that occur in the practical implementation of innovations in the private sector
Role of local energy communities in the transition towards new (smart) energy systems; including questions of engagement and co-creation
Evaluating socio-technical aspects that emerge with the development and implementation of MUSE grids/technologies
Finance and business models/approaches relevant to Responsible Innovations
The PhD research will be carried out within the group of Technology, Innovation & Society (TIS) - a research group in the Department of Industrial Engineering and Innovation Sciences (IE&IS) at Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands.
