The Centre for Ethics and Law in the Life Sciences (CELLS) invites
applications for the position of a Research Fellow (m/f/d) for the project
“Embedded Ethics Intelligence in REBIRTH” (Salary Scale 13 TV-L, 50 %)
starting at the earliest feasible date. The post is financed by the
third-party funded project “From Regenerative Biology to Reconstructive
Therapy“ (REBIRTH) and is limited until December 31, 2022.
Responsibilities and tasks
The successful candidate will pursue collaborative humanities and social
science research on topics related to REBIRTH, including but not limited
to: ethics and politics of bioengineered systems, biomedicine and societal
inequity, and responsible innovation. The candidate will also support
project leads in coordinating research, co-authoring funding applications,
and related activities.
Required competencies
-A scientific university degree (Master) with substantive training in a
relevant field such as science & technology studies (STS), philosophy,
anthropology, sociology, history, critical policy analysis, or law
-Experience in qualitative methods, or an interest in learning them
-English-language communication skills (written and spoken)
