2 PhD scholarships in ethics & RRI of research infrastructures, AI & data

                Two PhD opportunities are available with the EU Future and Emerging
<br>Technologies Flagship Human Brain Project (HBP). The PhDs will be based at
<br>De Montfort University (Leicester, UK), Centre for Computing and Social
<br>Responsibility (CCSR)
<br>, a
<br>research centre focusing on ethical and social issues of information and
<br>communication technology.
<br>
<br>
<br>
<br>Within the HBP, the CCSR currently leads the ethics support work which
<br>includes responsible research and innovation, compliance management, dual
<br>use, ethics-related data governance, data protection, and ethics of
<br>artificial intelligence.
<br>
<br>
<br>
<br>The two successful applicants for the PhD studentships will undertake
<br>research under the supervision of the HBP DMU team, currently consisting of
<br>four Research Fellows and a Professor.
<br>

<br>It is envisaged that the PhD research will be undertaken as PhD by
<br>Concurrent Publication.

<br>   The UKRI maintenance allowance (£15,009 for 2019-20)

<br>Eligibility
<br>
<br>In order to be admitted as a student for a research degree programme, an
<br>applicant shall normally possess a UK Honours degree with at least an upper
<br>second-class honours, or an academic or professional qualification which is
<br>deemed to be equivalent.

<br>Due to funding restrictions, applications are open to Home/EU students only.
