Two Social Science Post-Doc Research Vacancies - Edinburgh University - UKERC Local and Regional Energy Systems Theme

<br>We are delighted to announce two Social Science Post-Doc Research vacancies at
<br>the University of Edinburgh. Researchers will join the internationally-leading
<br>UK Energy Research Centre, and will investigate Local and Regional Energy
<br>Systems in the context of climate emergency.
<br>
<br>The first post is for four years and offers candidates with some prior social
<br>science Post-Doc experience and publications the opportunity to develop as a
<br>research leader in social studies of energy. The researcher will investigate
<br>UK policy, politics and material change in local and regional energy systems,
<br>in the context of devolved government, and diverging energy and climate
<br>strategies. You will have expertise in social research methods, including
<br>expert interviews, ethnography and use of archival data. You will also act as
<br>a Deputy Theme Leader for the UK Energy Research Centre (UKERC), developing
<br>collaborations with other Theme 2 researchers and the wider Centre.

<br>The second post is for two years and offers candidates at an earlier stage of
<br>their careers an opportunity to establish their research profile as a member
<br>of a leading interdisciplinary energy research community. As Research Fellow,
<br>you will conduct empirical social science research into the UK model of energy
<br>regulation, focusing on implications of a potential shift towards more local
<br>and regional energy systems. Alongside the core research tasks, you will be
<br>expected to develop collaborations with other Theme 2 researchers and the
<br>wider Centre.
