<br>Salary 36261 to 48677 per annum (pro-rata if applicable) depending on
<br>skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to

<br>The School of Sociology and Social Policy (SSP) is a vibrant, diverse and
<br>exciting centre for social science teaching and research.  We are a
<br>multidisciplinary unit covering criminology, public policy, social policy,
<br>social work and sociology. Cutting across these disciplinary boundaries are
<br>two shared values:  the promotion of global and social justice and a desire
<br>in our teaching and research to make a difference.

<br>We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to make a significant
<br>contribution to the teaching of programmes of study at undergraduate and
<br>postgraduate level in the Sociology of Science, Technology and Innovation,
<br>including responsible research and innovation, digital governance,
<br>environmental policy, international science policy and other broader
<br>sociological modules. The role holder will contribute to teaching and
<br>supervision for these programmes as required, which is likely to include the
<br>delivery of lectures, seminars and workshops as well as blended or online
<br>teaching. In addition, the role holder will contribute to the development of
<br>new teaching programmes, teaching methods and assessment in Sociology of
<br>Science, Technology and Innovation and will also be expected to play an
<br>active part in the School more generally, for example by taking on an
<br>administrative role in relation to teaching.

<br>This is a full-time, post, though we welcome applications from candidates
<br>wishing to work part-time to 0.8FTE, 29hours per week). Please indicate on

<br>term contract until 31st July 2020.
