Dear All,

This is an interesting opportunity for those who work in the intersection of law and STS.

Regards,
Ilke

Subject: Research Fellow (STS/law)

Dear Ilke,

We are currently advertising the final research post for my Wellcome funded Everyday Cyborgs project. As you know the project will last for 5 years and will look at a range of difficulties, gaps, and challenges for the law brought about by the joining of persons and attached and implanted medical devices (especially ‘smart’ devices).

This post is a STS/law post and will be for 3 years from September 2020. The post is open to anyone with the relevant intersection of experience/skills. The job adverts says that we are looking for either a science and technology studies (STS) scholar with a strong background working with law/legal materials or a legal scholar with expertise in STS/STS-inflected studies of law and science.

If you know anyone who might be interested in applying, please could you forward on the information? The link is - https://www.jobs.ac.uk/job/BXN777/research-fellow-sts-law-95494-birmingham-law-school-grade-7. More information is available by clicking apply which takes you to the University jobs page.

I’d appreciate it if you could distribute the information generally to your networks. The closing date is 9th February.

Kind regards,

Muireann.
