CFP: The Digital Society: Philosophical perspectives (Tallinn, Estonia, 30-31 August 2019)

Tallinn University of Technology, Estonia. 30-31 August 2019*

The 15th Annual Estonian Philosophy Conference will take place at
Tallinn University of Technology, Estonia on 30-31 August 2019.
The program will consist of plenary invited talks and parallel sessions
of contributed talks.
We welcome contributions by philosophers from Estonia and abroad on any
topic in Philosophy and its history.

A special track will be devoted to this year’s theme:
/The Digital Society: Philosophical Perspectives/

Contributions to this theme are expected to address philosophical issues
connected to the development and spread of digital technologies.
This includes the social transformations and impact of emerging
technologies, as well as the epistemological and ethical challenges that
are raised by the advances in robotics, big data, algorithmic governance
and artificial intelligence.
Contributions that address more general topics in the philosophy of
technology are also welcome.

Please send your abstracts (300 words max) to Marika Proover at:

Abstracts should be sent by 15 April 2019 at the latest.

Notifications of acceptance will be communicated by 1 May at the latest.
No registration fee is required to attend the conference.
