Research positions in global climate governance & economics (Hamburg)

apologies for cross-posting

Dear colleagues,

University Hamburg invites applications for several attractive research
associate positions within the Cluster of Excellence Climate, Climatic
Change and Society (CliCCS). These include:

- 1 PhD in sociology, political science or related disciplines

(Jun-Prof. S. Aykut): The research associate will contribute to analysis
of
ongoing transformations in global climate governance (post-Paris process),
esp. through empirical research on the practical implementation of the
global review and resubmission process of voluntary climate policy
commitments by states and non-state actors. Deadline: 24.2.2019.
- 1 Postdoc in climate economics and governance

(Prof. G. Perino): The research associate the post will play a crucial
role
in linking approaches and results from the three subprojects (global
review
process; norm contestations; climate policy instruments). The post
holder’s
own research is expected to focus on dynamic aspects of climate governance
and directly contribute to at least one of the subprojects listed above.
Deadline: 17.2.2019.
- 1 PhD in geography

(Prof. J. Scheffran): The research associate will explore possible and
plausible scenarios of norm contestations and conflicting actions across
different scales of climate governance. Based on region-specific climate
projections, stakeholder perceptions and novel pathways of energy
security,
possible climate futures will be developed in the climate-sensitive region
of the Mediterranean. Based on in-depth regional case studies, research
will address how regional climate change impacts and issues of climate
justice interact with global climate governance. Deadline: 4.2.2019.
