Job opportunity: 24 month Research Associate on Autonomous Systems

                An open position to be based at Lancaster University that may interest some
members of this list. The deadline for applications is this Friday (22nd
January).

The position will be based at Lancaster’s Security Institute
, and is connected to the
EPSRC funded TAS Security (TAS-S
)
node.

For this specific position, you should have an interest in researching
autonomous system users and their organisational and cultural contexts.
Along with backcasting methods, we will be conducting controversy analysis
in social media so skills in digital methodologies and research experience
in social media/online interactions are welcomed.

 This position offers an excellent opportunity to explore basic (academic
and applied) research, and to collaborate with a multi-disciplinary group
of investigators in accomplishing cutting-edge research. The role will
encompass:

   - Pursuit of security research.
   - Research engagement with the project’s internal and external
   stakeholders.
   - Participation in project workshops, seminars, dissemination and
   outreach events.
   - Support on reports, presentations and research proposals.

We will additionally provide PhD positions to support the Research
Associate’s research.

This is a challenging and highly rewarding role for someone interested in
growing their academic/applied research career, and in playing a key part
in a major research effort focused on the future of the security and
