<br>The Institute for Information Management Bremen (ifib) is a not-for-profit
<br>research institute at the University of Bremen. Our main research focus is on
<br>the organisation, management and use of information technologies in public
<br>administrations, in schools and universities as well as in other
<br>not-for-profit organisations.
<br>
<br>We are looking to appoint a
<br>Social scientist with a focus on quantitative methods of
<br>empirical social research (0.75 - 1 FTE, 2 years fixed-term)
<br>
<br>to join our team and research on the digital transformation of education and
<br>the public sector at the earliest possible date. The position is limited to
<br>two years, however prolongation is possible and desired. The remuneration is
<br>based on German federal pay scale TV-L E13. The grading depends on the
<br>existing previous experience.
<br>You will work independently in research and transfer projects in the area of
<br>digitalisation of education and public administration. As member of our
<br>interdisciplinary teams you will develop in particular appropriate survey
<br>instruments, implement and evaluate the data collection process as well as
<br>prepare results for publication. It is possible to combine research projects
<br>at ifib with pursuing a doctoral degree at the University of Bremen.
<br>Your qualifications include:
<br>
<br>-          A university degree in social sciences or equivalent field
<br>(Master)
<br>
<br>-          Extensive experiences in the use of quantitative methods of
<br>empirical social research including appropriate tools (e.g. Stata and/or
<br>SPSS)
<br>
<br>-          Knowledge in educational research and/or digital transformation of
<br>public administration
<br>
<br>-          Interest in qualitative empirical research
<br>
<br>-          Interest in independent research work
<br>
<br>-          Excellent written and spoken German is required (B2 or better C1)
